Gowrie Victoria is known as a place for demonstration and learning. It draws on the experience and rich evidence-base from its six early learning services in Melbourne to develop and deliver programs that aim to increase the capabilities, confidence and engagement of educators and teachers across Victoria. Generations of teachers and educators have developed their practice with Gowrie.

Gowrie employs approximately 350 staff, educate and care for more than 1750 children and families, have approximately 100 RTO students and reach almost 380 services each year through  consultancy and Government work.

About the role

The Position

The Board of Gowrie Victoria are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is an exceptional executive to design and implement organisational strategy, lead and manage growth, while simultaneously continuing to drive the development of culture and quality improvement, while also embedding exemplary standards of leadership and management across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be an authentic and empowering people leader, with high emotional intelligence and an unwavering commitment to excellence in delivery and impact.

We are seeking demonstrated experience of leading innovation and growth, including developing new offerings and scaling existing programs, to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

The ongoing success of Gowrie Victoria will be facilitated by a CEO who nurtures curiosity, supports reflection and facilitates change.

It is expected that the incoming CEO will offer a strong values alignment to the quality ethos Gowrie Victoria has built a reputation on.  As an experienced executive you will drive performance through empowerment and capability building of others.  Candidates will showcase strategic leadership through high-level relationships with external stakeholders and offer executive experience to maintain strong operational and financial performance, and lead innovation and purposeful growth.
